Tree Tower Club House
The client of this treehouse owns a backyard with very limited space, small young trees and two boys who needed a place to play. The only way to make this work was for O2 to not only build a treehouse, but also provide the tree in which it would be built. The Tree Tower Club House sits atop a 12’ recycled telephone pole, is 10’ in diameter with an open deck and is an icosahedron (a polyhedron with 20 faces). The goal for this structure was to provide a place where the boys could play, get lots of exercise and have countless opportunities for creative adventures that cannot be found in your run-of-the-mill playgrounds.
The tree tower has a ground level platform about 3 feet high and two more platforms on the way up to the top deck. To reach the upper deck you climb the rope ladder and enter through a trap door. There are monkey bars to traverse from the tree tower to the jungle gym bars and a swinging rope that hangs down from the upper platform. The boys have had hours and hours of adventures and games in their Tree Tower Club House.
