At O2 Treehouse, our mission is to reconnect people to nature with our one-of-a-kind architectural creations. Treewalkers is our new hospitality brand making these experiences more widely available to all through hospitality.

By combining our expertise in building treehouses with a hospitality franchise, we are creating an entirely new kind of accommodation and travel experience for people around the world.

We recently held an exclusive investor Q&A webinar, where we had the opportunity to answer some burning questions!

In today’s blog, we’ll address some of the frequently asked questions we’ve been receiving from our investor community.

How Do We Create These Meaningful Experiences?

Dustin Feider: “People are looking for meaningful experiences in nature -- made apparent by an incredible surge in interest in unique short term rental experiences. And what they are looking for in that space is treehouses. Treehouses are one of the most popular rentals, and usually the rental with the best ROI.

We build some absolutely gorgeous, radical treehouses for a much lower price point. That's the key here.

Treehouses are super expensive because typically their build processes, and logistics involved are so in depth. We're solving that with Treewalkers.

With Treehouses Being So Sought Out, Why Aren’t We Seeing More of Them?

Niko Kush: “Because no one really has the capacity to meet the demand and has developed a model that's reproducible. It's very boutique and expensive right now, but the numbers show that people want it.

Dustin Feider: “As it says here, the glamping tent is just the beginning. For the franchisee locations to really thrive, it requires a stratification of different price point offerings.

It's important to remember that we're not just providing the glamping tent for our locations. We also have the equilibrium home system.

Can This Harm the Trees in Any Way?

Dustin Feider:“When we add a piece of tree attachment hardware to a tree, the tree is going through that natural cycle of ensuring that it is not damaged internally or is not infected.

It's also actually growing, it compartmentalizes itself off and then it grows additional layers as trees do and fortifies that hardware over time

What’s the Payback Time Projected for Franchisees?

Dustin Feider: “The payback period for the franchisees is of course going to differ depending upon the quantity of structures, and of course the cost per night that you can rent the structure out in your market.

We feel that an ROI on an average base case scenario, could be a two to three year payback for the cost of a single Treewalker tent.
